IIONews- Port-City University League held Remote International Conference “Ocean Sustainability and Ecology” on 28 and 30 April 2021. Around 25 speakers attended as presenter on this event. Yokohama National University, Japan as founding father give opening remarks (28/4). ITERA as one and only partner university from Indonesia also sends representatives; 5 lecturers and 2 students.
They are; Arif Rohman (Flood Mitigation Using Land – Use Analysis in Lampung Bay), Fatkhurrozi (Ecosystem and Economics : Special Case Of Bay Of Lampung), Nanda & Triska (Physical Model Of Submerged Breakwater Effect On Incoming Wave), Reni Yuniarti (River Waste Trap and Masaro Program for Ocean Sustainability and Ecology), Satriyo Panalaran (Feasibility studies of Lampung Bay Oceanographic to support Industrial development in Lampung Province) and students; Fauzia Surya Kencana (Geodiversity review as a challenge for sustainable coastal management), Siti Zahra (Coastal Geomorphological Degradation In Urban Area)
ITERA already has MoU and join as a member of this international consortium. This consortium focus on activity that concern on port-city university and related stuff such as logistic, transportation, and technology, etc. This discussion is also one of UNESCO’s workshops.
Acep Purqon as Director of ITERA International Office said that ITERA will keep actively build good international networking to solve any Sumatra’s problem as our tagline: ITERA for Sumatra.
